The ‘Wall’ departs …
The ‘Wall’ has departed! Rahul Dravid (‘Wall’) showed his class in his last one day international cricket match against England. He showed ‘how’ it is done under pressure. Indian cricket will miss him. I will miss him.
I still remember his first one day innings at Singapore many years ago. I was visiting my friend Ankur Garg who used to live in a small town Modinagar, 40 kms from Delhi. I was on holidays after my class 10th board. I think Dravid got out for 3 runs (Murali was bowling). I was furious because India had lost Sachin and Azhar within few overs. I told my friend that this young player won’t last for more than one year. Oh boy! he has proved me wrong. Big time!!
